A Message from Our CEO…
Collaborating with DoD’s Initiatives in Educating, Empowering & Supporting Military Families from Day One
Often we hear that collaborations and partnerships are key when real impact is needed in our community.
Here is a perfect example of that statement. I am so excited that Secretary Austin and DoD's commitment to take care of military families reflect the data, testimonies and solutions we have shared with them during multiple meetings.
It is important to understand that peer-to-peer mentorship and education from day one are vital. The ideal picture is that we get ahead of the problems and provide proactive solutions that minimize the challenges before they become problems. MSAN mentors and supports all military spouses from all stages in their journey as military spouse with a special focus on Gen Zs. The relationship we have with them is helping us understand their needs. They are the future of our military and we need to speak the same language.
How is Military Spouse Advocacy Network collaborating and supporting the new areas of focus?
1) Enhance Spouse Economic Opportunities:
Through our Military Spouse Leadership Development Program, we are providing military spouses the opportunity to receive Leadership training from Harvard University-NPLI on Meta-Leadership, Conflict & Resolution, Communication and much more.
2) Reinforce Financial Resources, Food Insecurity, and Awareness:
Awareness is key and through MSAN's Mentorship-HUB and Virtual Education & Resource Center, military spouses receive peer-to-peer support, training courses, toolkits, educational videos, connection to official resources and more.
3) Encourage Service Members and Families to Seek Available Resources and Services:
Through our 24/7 Mentorship-HUB, military spouses (dual military) receive peer-to-peer mentorship in a safe environment where asking for support and connection to resources is the norm. Also, through our official collaboration with the Air Force and Space Force (Basic Military Training), thousands of new military spouses have the opportunity to receive peer-to-peer mentorship from day one!
4) Expand Data Collection and Reporting:
MSAN will continue to collect data and translate data into testimonies. Sharing our findings will continue to help leaders understand the needs of military families and MSAN will continue to be their voice and #1 Advocate.
Stay tuned because great things are coming!
